| Field notes | Single-stemmed from stilt roots up to 5 ft. high the roots only slightly spiny and not replacing the trunk. Trunk to 50 ft., 6-8 in. D.B.H. ., wood pinkish. Leaves several in a spreading crown, the lower entire, the middle and upper much divided, spadices below the elongate green crownshaft, cornute in bud and 5 ft. long, the white rachillae pendulous in flower, flowers white, fruit globose, brownish Rachis 11 ft. pinnae ca. 21 per side |
