| Field notes | Leaves with costa 32-51 in long. Trunks to 40 ft., 8-10 in. dbh, smooth, grey brown, fibrous with terminal shag of old split boots below leafy crown. Leaves glossy green above, green below, petioles smooth, 5-7 ft. long. Spadices ca. equalling leaves, flowers creamy white, somewhat fragrant. Fruits globose, green, leaf segments to 27 in., then free to 56 in., bifid at apex, not filiferous |
