| Field notes | Solitary palm. Juvenile. Stem 68 cm long, 2 cm thick, smooth. Base of stem with few visible roots, 9 cm long, 0.5 cm thick. Leaves 6; leaf sheath 23 cm long, open; petiole 96 cm long, section round; rachis 91 cm long; lamina pinnate, 109 cm long, 75 cm wide, flat, glabrous; pinnae 30 per side, regularly inserted; basal pinna 37 cm long, middle pinna 42 cm long, apical pinna 15 cm long.
