| Field notes | Solitary midstory palm. Acaulecent. Root cone present; number of roots 500+, 25-30 cm long, 0.1-0.5 cm thick. Leaves 30; sheath 68 cm long, open; petiole 97 cm long, section margined; rachis 550 cm long; lamina pinnate, 577 cm long, 120 cm wide, flat, glabrous; pinnae 80 per side, insertion regular; basal pinna 22 cm long, middle pinna 88 cm long, apical pinna 27 cm long. Infructescence interfoliar; prophyll 40 cm long, 8 cm wide, woody; peduncular bract 54 cm long, inserted 15 cm from base, brown, herbaceous; peduncle 49 cm long, 4.5 cm wide; rachis 83 cm long, 6 cm wide.
