| Field notes | Solitary understory palm. Acaulecent. Leaves 11; sheath 18 cm long, open; petiole 42 cm long, section round; rachis 40 cm long; lamina pinnate, 56 cm long, 45 cm wide, flat, glabrous; pinnae 3-4 per side, insertion regular; basal pinna 20 cm long, middle pinna 28 cm long, apical pinna 28 cm long. Infructescence interfoliar; prophyll 15 cm long, 0.5 cm wide, papery; peduncular bract 14 cm long, inserted 11 cm from base, brown, papery; peduncle 77 cm long, 0.3 cm wide; spike 13 cm long, 0.5 cm wide.
