| Field notes | Solitary understory palm. Acaulecent. Leaves 12; sheath 25 cm long, open; petiole 76 cm long, section round; rachis 43 cm long; lamina pinnate, 50 cm long, 50 cm wide, flat, glabrous; pinnae 4 per side, insertion regular; basal pinna 30 cm long, middle pinna 27 cm long, apical pinna 24 cm long. Infructescence interfoliar; prophyll 11 cm long, 0.8 cm wide, papery; peduncular bract 18 cm long, inserted 7 cm from base, brown, papery; peduncle 65 cm long, 0.3 cm wide; rachis 10 cm long, 0.5 cm wide. Fruits green, 1x1 cm. Silica gel sample taken. Transect: HB 471, subunit no. 2, inside transect |
