| Field notes | Solitary understory palm. Acaulecent. Leaves 13; sheath 20 cm long, open; petiole 28 cm long, section round; rachis 30 cm long; lamina pinnate, 40 cm long, 36 cm wide, flat, glabrous; pinnae 3 per side, insertion regular; basal pinna 24 cm long, middle pinna 21 cm long, apical pinna 19 cm long. Infructescence interfoliar; prophyll 8 cm long, 0.7 cm wide, papery; peduncular bract 15 cm long, inserted 8 cm from base, brown, papery; peduncle 85 cm long, 0.3 cm wide; spike 13 cm long, 0.7 cm wide. Fruits green, 1x1 cm. Silica gel sample taken. Transect: HB 470, subunit no. 8, inside transect |
