| Field notes | Solitary understory palm. Acaulecent. Roots few visible. Leaves 9 per stem; sheath 18 cm long, open; petiole 46 cm long; rachis 35 cm long; lamina pinnate, 53 cm long, 32 cm wide, flat, glabrous; pinnae 6 per side, insertion regular; basal pinna 23 cm long, middle pinna 24 cm long, apical pinna 18 cm long. Infructescence interfoliar; prophyll 11 cm long, 1 cm wide, papery; peduncular bract 23.5 cm long, inserted at base, brown, papery; peduncle 73 cm long, 0.3 cm wide; spike 14 cm long, 0.8 cm wide.
