| Field notes | Solitary understory palm. Acaulecent. Roots few visible. Leaves 7 per stem; sheath 12 cm long, open; petiole 75 cm long, section round; rachis 35 cm long; lamina pinnate, 43 cm long, 38 cm wide, flat, glabrous; pinnae 5 per side, regularly inserted; basal pinna 19 cm long, middle pinna 21 cm long, apical pinna 14 cm long. Inflorescence interfoliar; prophyll 9 cm long, 1.3 cm wide, papery; peduncular bract 22.5 cm long, inserted at base, brown, papery; peduncle 64 cm long, 1 cm wide; rachis 16 cm long, 1.3 cm wide.
