| Field notes | Solitary understory palm. Stem 105 cm high, 1.1 cm thick; internodes 4 cm long, > stem diameter, green, smooth. Leaves 4 per stem; sheath 18 cm long, closed; petiole 19.5 cm long; rachis 26 cm long; lamina entire, bifid, 50 cm long, 25 cm wide, flat, glabrous. Inflorescence interfoliar; peduncular bracts inserted 2.5, 8, 15 cm from base; peduncle 18 cm long, 0.2 cm wide; rachis 18 cm long, 0.3 cm wide. Silica gel sample taken.
