| Field notes | Solitary understory palm. Stem 54 cm long, 0.3 cm thick; internodes 4 cm long, > stem diameter, smooth, green. Leaves 7 per stem; sheath 5 cm long, closed; petiole 4.5 cm long, section margined; rachis 6.5 cm long; lamina entire, bifid; 20 cm long, 9.5 cm wide, flat, glabrous. Sterile.
