| Field notes | Solitary midstory palm. Stem 731 cm high; internodes 2.5-3 cm long, whitish green to brown, fissured. Stilt roots more than 20, 74-87 cm long, with 0.1 cm long spines. Leaves 6 per stem; sheath 77 cm long, closed; petiole 38 cm, section round; rachis 173 cm long; lamina pinnate, 188 cm long, 115 cm wide, bushy, glabrous; pinnae 20 per side, basal pinna 18 cm long, middle pinna 62 cm long, apical pinna 28 cm long. Inflorescence infrafoliar; prophyll 4.5 cm long, 4 cm wide, woody; peduncular bracts 2-18 cm long, inserted 4, 5, 6, 10 cm from base, green to brown, woody; peduncle 12 cm long 2 cm wide; rachis 19 cm long, 4.5 cm wide.
