Field notes Canopy palm. Stem 6 m long, 11 cm diam, smooth; internodes 6 cm long, grey. Leaf sheath 55 cm long, open; petiole 20 cm long, section margined; rachis 146 cm long; lamina pinnate, 182 cm long, 101 cm wide, glabrous; pinnae 107 per side, regularly inserted; basal pinna 25 cm long, middle pinna 55 cm long, apical pinna 38 cm long. Inflorescence interfoliar; prophyll 61 cm long, woody; peduncular bracts to 110 cm long, brown, woody; peduncle 43 cm long, 2 cm wide; rachis 72 cm long, 1 cm wide; rachillae 66, 1-25 cm long.
