| Field notes | Cespitose understory palm. Stem 70-215 cm long, 0.6-0.8 cm thick; internodes 3.5-11 cm long, smooth, green. Leaves 4-5; sheath ca. 10 cm long, closed; petiole 6-9 cm long, section margined; rachis 17-20 cm long; lamina pinnate, 27 cm wide, 27-29 cm long, flat, glabrous, pinnae 6-8 per side, basal pinna 10-13 cm long, middle pinna 14-15 cm long, apical pinna 9-10 cm long.
