Field notes	Cespitose understory palm. Stem 2.52 m long, 0.7 cm thick, smooth; internodes 7 cm long, green. Leaves 7 per stem; sheath 10 cm long, closed; petiole 8 cm long, section margined; rachis 22 cm long; lamina pinnate, 30 cm long, 26 cm wide, flat, glabrous; pinnae 10 per side, insertion regular, basal pinna 12.5 cm long, middel pinna 15 cm long, apical pinna 6.5 cm long. Inflorescence interfoliar; prophyll 0.7 cm long, 0.3 cm wide, papery; peduncular bract 1.8 cm long, inserted at the base, brown, papery; peduncle 2.5 cm long, 0.3 cm wide; rachillae 3 per rachis, 2.5 - 3 cm long.
