| Field notes | Cespitose understory palm. Stem to 2 m tall, 1 cm in diameter, smooth; internodes 5 cm long. Leaves 6; leaf sheath 10 cm long, closed; petiole 12 cm long, margined; rachis 28 cm long; lamina pinnate; number of pinnae per side 4-5, irregularly inserted, in one single plane, basal pinna 22 cm long, middle pinna 23 cm long, apical pinna 19 cm long. Inflorescence interfoliar; peduncle 6 cm long, green; rachis 3 cm long, green; rachillae 4, 12.5-13 cm long. HB transect no. 405, subunit no. 95 |
