| Field notes | Cespitose understory palm. Stem to 190 cm tall, 1 cm in diameter, smooth, brown; internodes 5 cm long. Leaves 6; leaf sheath 12 cm long, closed; petiole 11 cm long, margined; rachis 26 cm long; lamina pinnate; number of pinnae per side 5-7, irregularly inserted, in one single plane, basal pinna 18 cm long, middle pinna 19 cm long, apical pinna 17 cm long. Inflorescence interfoliar; peduncle 7 cm long, 0.5 cm thick, green; rachis 3 cm long, 0.4 cm thick, green; rachillae 4, 16-17 cm long, green. HB transect no. 405, subunit no. 89 |
