| Field notes | Solitary understory palm. Stem more than 30 cm long, 1.8 cm in diameter, smooth, yellow-green; internodes 2.8 cm long. Leaves 7 per stem; lamina entire, 65 cm long, 25 cm wide, apex bifid. Inflorescence interfoliar, spicate, green, 4 at the same node; peduncle 20 cm long; spike 32 cm long. Flower buds sessile.
