| Field notes | Cespitose understory palm with 2 stems. Stem 90 cm long, 1.3 cm thick, smooth, orange; internodes 2 cm long. Leaves 11; sheath 7 cm long, open; petiole 25 cm long, margined; rachis 48 cm long; lamina entire, 66 cm long, 18 cm wide. Infructescence interfoliar; peduncle 6 cm long, 0.9 cm thick, red; spike 25 cm long, 1.2 cm thick, red. Fruits black. HB transect no. 404, subunit no. 50 |
