| Field notes | Solitary midstory palm. Stem 250 cm tall, 11 cm in diameter, smooth; internodes not visible. Leaves 15; leaf sheath 40 cm long, splitting up in 2 at base; petiole 110 cm long; lamina palmate, 160 cm in diameter; segments 15, each segment with 6 nerves. Inflorescence interfoliar; peduncular bracts many, to 25 cm long; peduncle 35 cm long, 5 cm wide; rachis 20 cm long, 2 cm wide, branched to 2nd order; primary rachillae 3, secondary rachillae 22, rachillae 4-10 cm long.
