| Field notes | Cespitose understory palm with 6 stems. Stem 1.6 m tall, 1 cm in diameter, smooth, green; internodes 12 cm long. Number of leaves 6; leaf sheath 9 cm long, closed; petiole 12 cm long; rachis 21 cm long; lamina pinnate; pinnae 7 per side, more or less regularly inserted, in one single plane, basal pinna 18 cm long, middle pinna 21 cm long, apical pinna 22 cm long. Infructescence interfoliar; peduncle 31 cm long, 0.4 cm thick, green; rachis 2.5 cm long, green; rachillae 4, 9.5-10 cm long, yellow. Fruits ellipsoid, orange. HB transect no. 401, subunit 35. |
