| Field notes | Understory palm. Stem 45 cm tall, 0.6 cm in diameter, covered by old leaf sheaths. Leaf sheath 5 cm long, closed; petiole 15 cm long, sheath and petiole with black spines to 3 cm long; rachis 9 cm long; lamina entire 16x26 cm, bifid. Sterile. HB transect no. 400, subunit 31. |
