| Field notes | Cespitose understory palm. Stem 1 m tall, 0.7 cm in diameter, smooth, green; internodes 5.5 cm long. Leaves 8; leaf sheath 10 cm long, closed; petiole 15 cm long, margined; rachis 12.5 cm long; lamina pinnate, flat; pinnae 6 per side, inserted in groups of 2, basal pinna 13 cm long, middle pinna 18 cm long, apical pinna 20 cm long.
