| Field notes | Cespitose understory palm. Stem 0.6 cm in diameter, smooth, green; internodes 7 cm long. Leaves 8; leaf sheath 12 cm long, closed, petiole 18 cm long; rachis 18 cm long; lamina pinnate; pinnae 6 per side, inserted in groups of 2, basal pinna 15 cm long, middle pinna 18 cm long, apical pinna 18 cm long. Inflorescence interfoliar; prophyll 10 cm long, 0.5 cm wide, herbaceous; peduncular bract 17 cm long, inserted 7 cm from base, green; peduncle 20 cm long, 0.5 cm thick; rachis 5 cm long, 0.3 cm thick, rachillae 17, 2-5 cm long. Flowers yellow, sessile. HB transect no. 395, subunit 90. |
