| Field notes | Solitary canopy palm. Stem 5.9 m tall, 8 cm in diameter, fissured. Leaves 10; leaf sheath 20 cm long, closed; petiole 40 cm long, margined; rachis 240 cm long; lamina pinnate, bushy; pinnae inserted in groups of 1-4, basal pinna 48 cm long, middle pinna 59 cm long, apical pinna 25 cm long. Inflorescence interfoliar; prophyll more than 20 cm long, 3 cm wide; peduncular bract more than 60 cm long, woody, green; peduncle more than 15 cm long, 1 cm thick; rachis 26 cm long, 1 cm thick, rachillae 35, 5-8 cm long.
