| Field notes | Solitary understory palm. Acaulecent, 160 cm tall. Leaves 8; pinnate; number of pinnae per side 4-6, irregularly inserted, in one single plane; basal pinna 46 cm long, middle pinna 50 cm long, apical pinna 46 cm long. Inflorescence interfoliar, spicate; peduncular bract 18.5 cm long, brown, herbaceous; peduncle 85 cm long, 0.5 cm thick; spike 23 cm long, 0.8 cm thick. Flowers in bud.
