| Field notes | Cespitose understory palm. Stem 0.7 long, 0.8cm thick. Leaves 6 per stem; sheath 9cm, closed; petiole 13cm, green; rachis 9cm; lamina 26 x 26cm; pinnae 4 per side, basal 14cm, middel 17cm, apical 18cm. Inflorescence interfoliar; prophyll 4cm; peduncular bract 10cm long, soft, brown, inserted 7.5cm from the base; peduncle 20cm long, 0.3cm thick, smooth; rachis 2cm long, branched to 1st order; rachillae 6, 5cm long, 0.1cm thick; flowers sessile, yellow.
