| Field notes | Cespitose understory palm. Stem 1.5 m long. Leaves 6 per stem; sheath 9cm, open; petiole 10cm, margined, green; rachis 23cm; lamina 28 x 16cm, + entire and bifid; pinnae 1-3 per side, basal 12cm, middel 12cm, apical 8cm. Inflorescence inter–infrafoliar; prophyll 2.5cm long, soft, brown, inserted 1cm from the base; peduncle 4cm long, 0.5cm thick, smooth; rachis 7cm long, 0.6cm thick, unbranched; flowers sunken. Transect HB358-SU24. |
