| Field notes | Solitary understory palm. Stem 1m long, 0.9cm thick. Leaves 13 per stem: sheath 8cm, open; petiole 9cm, margined, green; rachis 37cm; lamina 48 x 14cm, entire, bifid. Inflorescence interfoliar; prophyll 7cm long; peduncular bract 7cm long, soft, brown, inserted at the base; peduncle 11cm long, 0.4cm thick; rachis 5cm long, branched to 1st order; rachillae 4, 14cm long, 0.2cm thick.
