| Field notes | Solitary, erect, understory palm. Roots 300, 20cm long, 0.2cm thick. Stem 0.9m long, 5cm thick. Leaves 15 per stem; sheath 24cm, open; petiole 67cm long, margined, green; rachis 103cm; lamina 124 x 77cm; pinnae 17 per side, basal 34cm, middle 52cm, apical 40cm. Inflorescence interfoliar; prophyll 44cm long; peduncular bract 47cm long, soft, brown; peduncle 73cm long, 1.5cm thick; rachis 50cm long, 1.5cm thick, unbranched; flowers sunken, grey.
