| Field notes | Tree palm. Stiltroots 18, 60cm long, 4cm thick. Stem 8m long, 10cm thick. crownshaft 110cm long. Leaves 7 per stem; sheath 110cm, closed; petiole 48cm, round, green; rachis 207cm; lamina 219 x 140cm; pinnae 13 per side, basal 47cm, middle 80cm, apical 24cm. Prophyll 9cm long, 4cm wide; peduncular bract 21cm long, soft, brown; peduncle 10cm long, 3cm thick smooth; rachis 11cm long, branched to 1st order; rachillae 8, 40cm long, 2cm thick; flowers sessile, yellow.
