| Field notes | Solitary understory palm. Stem 0.7m long, 1cm thick. Leaves 18 per stem; sheath 10cm, open; petiole 5cm, margined, green; rachis 37cm; lamina 50 x 15cm, entire. Infructescence interfoliar; prophyll 7cm; peduncular bract inserted 0.5cm from base; peduncle 13cm long, 0.4cm thick; rachis 7cm long, branched to 1st order; rachillae 6, 18cm long, 0.2cm diameter; flowers sunken.
