| Field notes | Solitary, small, understory palm. Stem 0.7m long, 0.7cm thick. Leaves 5 per stem; sheath 6cm, closed; petiole 7cm, green; rachis 6cm; lamina 20 x 27cm, entire. Inflorescence infrafoliar; prophyll 1.5cm long; peduncular bract 7cm long, brown, smooth, inserted at the base; peduncle 4cm long, 0.2cm thick, smooth; rachis 3cm long, 0.2cm thick, unbranched; flowers sessile.
