| Field notes | Cespitose, understory palm. Stem 2.5m long, 2cm thick; crownshaft 30cm long. Leaves 7 per stem; sheath 25cm, closed; petiole 35cm, margined, green; rachis 79cm; lamina 109 x 90cm; pinnae 7 per side, basal 39cm, middle 40cm, apical 33cm. Infructescence infrafoliar; peduncle 6cm long, 0.8cm thick, smooth; rachis 10cm long, branched to 1st order; rachillae 26, 26cm long, 0.3cm thick; fruits sessile. Transect HB343-SU63. |
