| Field notes | Cespitose understory palm. Stem 2.3m long, 2.5cm thick; crownshaft 33cm long. Leaves 9 per stem; sheath 33cm, closed; petiole 39cm, margined, green; rachis 78cm; lamina 105 x 70cm; pinnae 7 per side, basal 53cm, middle 56cm, apical 37cm. Inflorescence infrafoliar; peduncular bract 44cm long, inserted 5cm from base; peduncle 7cm long, 1cm thick, smooth; rachis 17cm long, branched to 1st order; rachillae 29, 30cm long, 0.4cm thick; flowers sessile.
