| Field notes | Erect understory palm. Stem 3m long, 2.5cm thick. Leaves 12 per stem; sheath 26cm, closed; petiole 22cm, margined, green; rachis 83cm; lamina 102 x 80cm; pinnae 14 per side, basal 47cm, middle 47cm, apical 37cm. Infructescence infrafoliar; peduncular bract 26cm long, brown, inserted 2.5cm from base; peduncle 6cm long, 0.8cm thick, smooth; rachis 11cm long, branched to 1st order; rachillae 30, 18cm long, 0.2cm thick; fruits sessile.
