| Field notes | Cespitose understory palm. Stem 2.5m long, 1.5cm. Leaves 11 per stem; sheath 16cm, closed; petiole 34cm, margined, green; rachis 35cm; lamina 80 x 60cm; pinnae 3 per side, basal 60cm, middel 60cm, apical 50cm. Inflorescence interfoliar; peduncular bract 9cm long, woody, white-brown, inserted at the base; peduncle 11cm long, 0.6cm thick, smooth; rachis 10cm long, branched to 2nd order; rachillae 12, 10cm long, 0.3cm thick; flowers sunken.
