| Field notes | Cespitose understory palm. Stem 3.5m long, 2cm thick; crown-crownshaft 30cm long. Leaves 8 per stem; sheath 30cm, closed; petiole 27cm, margined, green; rachis 70cm; lamina 93 x 60cm; pinnae 14 per side, basal 40cm, middle 40cm, apical 32cm. Inflorescence infrafoliar; peduncle 9cm long, 0.6cm thick, smooth; rachis 12cm long, branched to 1st order; rachillae 20, 28cm long, 0.3cm thick. Transect HB341-SU73. |
