| Field notes | Cespitose, understory palm. Stem 2m long, 1.5cm thick; crown-crownshaft 98cm long. Leaves 7 per stem; sheath 18cm, closed; petiole 22cm, margined, green; rachis 50cm; lamina 77 x 40cm; pinnae 5 per side, basal 40cm, middle 42cm, apical 36cm. Inflorescence infrafoliar; peduncular bract 30cm long, brown, inserted 1cm from base; peduncle 4cm long, 0.4cm thick, smooth; rachis 8cm long, branched to 1st order; rachillae 25, 19cm long, 0.1cm thick.
