| Field notes | Tree palm. Stiltroots 15, 30cm long, 5cm thick. Stem 10m long, 6.5cm thick; crownshaft 120cm long. Leaves 8 per stem; sheath 120cm, closed; petiole 60cm, round, brown; rachis 266cm; lamina 276 x 140cm; pinnae 28, basal 42cm, middle 80cm, apical 15cm; prophyll 5cm long; peduncular bracts 2, 6cm long, brown; peduncle 18cm long, 2cm thick, smooth; rachis 21cm long, unbranched.
