| Field notes | Colonial understory palm. Roots 10cm long. Stem 2m long, 1cm thick. Leaf-sheath 20cm, closed; petiole 25cm, round, green; rachis 60cm; lamina 70 x 60cm; pinnae 7 per side, basal 7cm, middle 32cm, apical 13cm. Inflorescence infrafoliar; prophyll 12cm long; peduncular bract 25cm long, brown, inserted at the base; peduncle 36cm long, 0.5cm thick; rachis 10cm long, branched to 1st order; rachillae 10, 16cm long, 0.2cm thick; flowers sessile. Transect HB340-SU84. |
