| Field notes | Acaulescent palm. Leaves 10 per stem; sheath 20cm, closed; petiole 13cm, margined, green; rachis 75cm; lamina 90 x 30cm; pinnae 2 per side, basal 25cm, apical 27cm. Inflorescence interfoliar; prophyll 15cm long; peduncular bract 43cm long, soft, brown, inserted at the base; peduncle 121cm long, 0.6cm thick; rachis 30cm long, unbranched; flowers sunken.
