| Field notes | Medium sized tree-palm. Stem 2m long, 5cm thick. Leaves 15 per stem; sheath 18cm, closed; petiole 33cm, margined, green; rachis 115cm; lamina 150 x 65cm; pinnae 3 per side, basal 50cm, middle 48cm, apical 37cm. Inflorescence infrafoliar; prophyll 2cm long; peduncular bract 17cm long, inserted 4cm from base; peduncle 20cm long, 2.5cm thick; rachis 60cm long, branched to 3rd order; rachillae 18; flowers sunken.
