| Field notes | Solitary palm. Stem 1m long, 1.5 thick. Leaves 5 per stem; sheath 12cm, closed; petiole 36cm, margined, green; rachis 19cm; lamina 40 x 25cm, entire. Inflorescence infrafoliar; prophyll 3cm long; peduncular bract 8cm long, soft, hairy, brown, inserted at the base; peduncle 5cm long; rachis 0.4cm long, branched to 1st order; rachillae 2, 2.5cm long.
