| Field notes | Cespitose palm. Roots 150, 15cm long, 0.2cm thick. Stem 0.6m long, 6cm thick, spines 7cm long, black. Leaves 10 per stem; sheath 37cm, open; petiole 130cm, round, green-brown; rachis 155cm; lamina 196 x 102cm; pinnae 21 per side, basal 38cm, middle 50cm, apical 44cm. Prophyll 9cm; peduncle 17cm long, 1cm thick; rachis 9cm long, branched to 1st order; rachillae 15, 7cm long, 0.1cm thick. Transect HB335 outside SU80. |
