| Field notes | Colonial palm. Roots 7, 13cm long, 0.7cm thick. Stem 0.7m long, 7cm thick. Leaves 11 per stem; sheath 43cm, open; petiole 66cm, round, green; rachis 4cm; lamina 62 x 104cm; pinnae 2 per side, basal 60cm, apical 63cm; peduncular bract soft, smooth, green; peduncle 44cm long, 1cm thick, smooth; rachis 19cm long, branched to 1st order; rachillae 5, 17cm long, 0.2cm thick; flowers sessile, white. Transect HB335-SU70. |
