| Field notes | Colonial palm. Roots 26, 15cm long, 0.5cm thick. Stem 1.5m long, 2cm thick. Leaves 15 per stem; sheath 43cm, open; petiole 46cm, round, green; rachis 4cm; lamina palmate, 59 x 117cm; segments 6 per side, basal 63cm, middel 62cm, apical 61cm. Inflorescence interfoliar; prophyll 11cm; peduncular bract soft, smooth, green; peduncle 55cm long, 0.8cm thick, smooth; rachis 34cm long, branched to 1st order; rachillae 6, 18cm long, 0.3cm thick; flowers sessile, white. Transect HB335-SU62. |
