| Field notes | Solitary understory palm. Roots 250, 20cm long, 0.5cm thick. Stem 1.9m long, 5cm thick. Leaf-sheath 22cm, open; petiole 29cm, margined, green; rachis 98cm; lamina 121 x 48cm; pinnae 7 per side, basal 37cm, middle 39cm, apical 34cm. Prophyll 40cm long; peduncular bract 40cm long, soft, green, smooth, inserted at the base; peduncle 70cm long, 0,5cm thick, smooth, green; rachis 1cm long, branched to first order; rachillae 2, 27cm long, 1cm thick.
