| Field notes | Colonial understory palm. Stem 2m long. Leaves 13 per stem; sheath 30cm, open; petiole 76cm, green; rachis 3cm; lamina 66 x 99cm wide, palmate; pinnae 2 per side, basal 67cm, apical 68cm. Peduncular bracts 6, separated by 5cm in between, soft, smooth, green; peduncle 37cm long, 0.6cm thick; rachis 33cm long, branched to 1st order; rachillae 9, 12cm long, 0.3cm thick; flowers sessile, white.
