| Field notes | Solitary tree palm. Stiltroots 10, 65cm long, 5.5cm thick. Stem 10m long, 9cm thick. Leaves 7 per stem; sheath 20cm, closed; petiole 67cm, round, green; rachis 210cm; lamina 228 x 125cm; pinnae 12 per side, basal 54cm, middle 85cm, apical 32cm. Inflorescence infrafoliar; peduncular bract 17cm long; peduncle 18cm long, 3cm thick; rachis 10cm long, branched to 1st order; rachillae 9, 38cm long, 1.2cm thick; flowers sessile, yellow.
